Manila street cleanup continues
The employees of the Department of Public Services-Manila are working tirelessly to clean up the streets and waterways of Manila.
The DPS Estero Rangers started their cleanup operations at Estero de Magdalena, Barangay 250, where they collected approximately 7 sacks of garbage. The majority of the items they gathered were styrofoams, bottles, plastics, and rubber materials.
The cleanup operations continue in different parts of Manila. Hauling operations for canal waste are taking place along Juan Luna corner S. Trinidad Street, while mopping operations are happening along Capulong from Juan Luna to the district boundary. Debris hauling operations are taking place along Moriones Street, Barangay 72 Zone 6, while mopping operations are being carried out along Legarda Street.
Flushing operations are ongoing along R. Almario Elementary School and Zaragosa sidewalk, and hauling operations are taking place at Estero de Valencia. An ongoing flushing operation is also being conducted at Barangay 583 Zone 57.
Communities are reminded to be responsible for the environment and waterways. It is important to avoid dumping garbage in rivers, canals, creeks, and estuaries. It is important to follow the designated garbage disposal times. Let us all work together to keep Manila clean and beautiful.
