Alay Lakad to hold annual walk on September 22

The Alay-Lakad Foundation, Inc. (ALFI) will hold the annual  ‘Walk for a Cause’ for the out-of-school youth (OSY) on Sunday, Sept. 22, 2019, 5:00 am at the Quirino Grandstand in Manila. 

Various national government agencies, local government units, the education and business sectors, as well as socio-civic organizations are expected to join the event that sends hundreds of marginalized but deserving out-of-school youths (OSYs) to school through its annual walk for a cause. for more than a decade now.

The Alay-Lakad Foundation, together with government and non-government organizations, generate funds used in sending out-of-school youths to school and provide them with the necessary livelihood skills trainings.

For this year, the Chairperson of the National Coordinating Committee is the Junior Chamber International Philippines headed by its National President Paul Jess P. Estrellado and the Vice Chairperson is Federation of Filipino Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Inc. headed by its President, Dr. Henry Lim Bon Liong.

Theme for this year’s walk is “Lakad Para sa Pag-asa ng Kabataan.
