Manila estero rangers collect 220 sacks of garbage
The City Government of Manila, under the leadership of Mayor Dra. Honey Lacuna and the management of the Department of Public Services-Manila, continuously delivers their commitment to cleaning and preserving Manila's waterways.
The DPS Estero Rangers have recently started cleaning the Parola Coastal Area near Pasig River in Binondo, Barangay 275 Zone 25, where more than 220 sacks of garbage were collected. Majority of the waste were styrofoams, bottles, plastics, and rubber materials that have been accumulating in the area for quite some time.
This initiative is part of the city government's long-term plan to rehabilitate and restore Manila's water systems. As the nation's capital and one of the most densely populated cities in the world, Manila's waterways have been suffering from pollution and degradation for many years. By conducting regular cleanup drives and educating the community about environmental conservation, the city government aims to bring back the beauty and health of Manila's waterways.
The Department of Public Services-Manila has been actively engaging the community to participate in the city government's environmental programs. They have been conducting awareness campaigns and seminars to educate the public about the importance of keeping the waterways clean and the negative effects of pollution on the environment and public health.
Through these efforts, the community is slowly realizing the gravity of the situation and has been more cooperative in keeping their surroundings clean.
The city government of Manila recognizes the importance of taking care of the environment, and they encourage everyone to do their part in conserving the natural resources. The DPS Estero Rangers, along with other environmental groups, continue to monitor and clean Manila's waterways, but the success of this initiative relies heavily on the cooperation of the community.
With everyone's cooperation, Manila's waterways can be restored to their former glory, providing a healthier and more beautiful environment for the residents of Manila.
