Manila to release PWD and solo parent allowance
Manila's Department of Social Welfare (MDSW) has announced the upcoming payout of social amelioration allowances for qualified persons with disability (PWDs) and solo parents in the city. The MDSW has set up the pay-out as part of the LGU's support for these individuals who are often in need of assistance due to their situation.
Qualified individuals are advised to bring their original and photocopy of PWD or solo parent ID, as well as a barangay certificate for the purpose of PWD or solo parent allowance. Help desks will be deployed per payout area to provide assistance to those who need it.
The MDSW has designated different district offices for each district of the city, with specific locations including Vitas Aquatic Center for District 1, Tesda Building Tayuman for District 2, Alvarez St. beside Rasac Court for District 3, behind Presinto 4 Balic Balic for District 4, and Bahay Kalinga Building Paco for Districts 5 and 6. Baseco residents may proceed to the Baseco Office near the Barangay Hall.
The MDSW also encourages those who have questions or need clarifications to proceed to their respective district offices for assistance. This program aims to help alleviate the financial burden of PWDs and solo parents and provide additional support to help them cope with their situation.
