Manila launches mobile app for tax payments

Manila launched a mobile app for payments of business and real estate taxes.

Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso said basic services and transactions at Manila City Hall are now available online and can be availed anywhere around the world through the Go Manila app.

“This means taxpayers do not have to be physically present at Manila City Hall to pay their dues,” Domagoso said.

“This app can be accessed 24/7. As much as possible, don’t go to City Hall, so we could limit the risk of exposure to COVID-19,” he said.

Basic government transactions offered by the Go Manila app include requests for community tax certificate, civil documents and occupational health permits.

Other services include e-wallet, prepaid load, electricity bills, water bills, cable and Internet dues and telecommunications, among others.

“More services will be offered by the Go Manila app. This includes payment for fines, which stemmed from traffic violations in the nation’s capital,” he added.
