Globe holds 3-day SIM registration at Kartilya ng Katipunan
The Globe telecommunications company, in partnership with the Manila City Government, continues its SIM registration drive at the Kartilya ng Katipunan. This is in compliance with Republic Act 11934, which mandates the registration of all prepaid SIM cards in the country.
The SIM registration initiative is a significant step towards improving public safety and security. It aims to prevent the use of unregistered SIM cards in illegal activities, including terrorism, kidnapping, and extortion. This is also part of the government's efforts to strengthen its anti-terrorism and law enforcement measures.
The SIM registration drive started on March 22 and will last until March 24. The registration site is located near the Manila City Hall, making it accessible to the public. Those who need assistance in registering their Globe or TM SIMs may go to the Kartilya ng Katipunan from 8 AM to 4 PM.
To register their SIM cards, customers are required to provide their valid IDs and fill out registration forms. The registration process is quick and easy and aims to ensure that all SIM cards are registered accurately.
Globe is one of the leading telecommunications companies in the country, committed to providing its customers with reliable and efficient services. Through this SIM registration initiative, Globe is also doing its part in promoting responsible use of mobile phones.
The company also reminds its customers to keep their SIM cards updated and to avoid sharing their personal information with strangers. This is to prevent unauthorized use of their SIM cards and protect their personal data.
Furthermore, Globe emphasizes that the deadline for SIM registration is only until April 26, 2023. Those who fail to register their SIM cards before the deadline may face disconnection or suspension of their mobile services.
