Manila mayor sustains road, infrastructure projects
Under the leadership of the newly appointed Mayor Honey Lacuna-Pangan, the Department of Engineering and Public Works of Manila City continues its relentless efforts to improve the city's infrastructure. With a focus on road rehabilitation and other essential projects, the department aims to enhance the overall quality of life for Manila's residents and visitors.
One of the ongoing projects is the rehabilitation of the sidewalks along Tomas Claudio Street in Pandacan. Mayor Honey Lacuna-Pangan and her team are dedicated to ensuring safe and accessible pathways for pedestrians. By repairing and maintaining the sidewalks, the city promotes a pedestrian-friendly environment, fostering convenience and safety for everyone.
In addition to sidewalk rehabilitation, the Department is prioritizing the declogging and cleaning of drainage lines near the Ospital ng Sampaloc. This proactive measure helps prevent waterlogging and reduces the risk of flooding during heavy rainfall. By maintaining a functional drainage system, the city strives to protect the welfare and safety of its residents, particularly those in flood-prone areas.
Furthermore, the Department recently conducted a hauling operation to remove debris and damaged equipment from Oroquieta Street in Sta. Cruz. This action followed a recent fire incident, and Mayor Honey Lacuna-Pangan ensured that the debris was swiftly and properly disposed of. The city's prompt response demonstrates its commitment to maintaining cleanliness and aiding in the recovery process after unfortunate incidents.
Mayor Honey Lacuna-Pangan's administration places great emphasis on infrastructure development and its positive impact on Manila City. By actively addressing road rehabilitation and various infrastructure projects, the city aims to create a safer, more efficient, and sustainable urban environment for its residents.
As Manila City continues its journey towards progress, Mayor Honey Lacuna-Pangan assures residents that more initiatives are underway, focusing on road rehabilitation, infrastructure improvement, and disaster preparedness. The Department of Engineering and Public Works will persist in its mission to create a city that is resilient, livable, and responsive to the needs of its people.
