Manila sustains maintenance of green spaces
The Parks Development Office - Manila, under the directive of Mayor Dra. Honey Lacuna, is working tirelessly to maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of the city's urban green spaces. The PDO is taking care of the plants and maintaining the plazas to help reduce urban heat island and air pollution.
Earlier today, the PDO staff started watering, trimming, and landscaping the plants, as well as collecting garbage from the center islands and plazas in Manila. Everyone is encouraged to be responsible for the environment and preserve it for the next generation.
In line with this, the Operation Group 2 of the PDO conducted a cleaning, weeding, trimming, and hauling of garbage at Roxas Blvd. Center Island. The staff worked tirelessly to maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of the center island and ensure that it is safe for the public to use.
The efforts of the PDO and its staff are commendable as they work to preserve and improve the city's green spaces. By taking care of the plants and maintaining the plazas, the PDO is not only beautifying the city but also contributing to the reduction of air pollution and urban heat island.
The public is urged to support the efforts of the PDO by properly disposing of their garbage and being responsible for the environment. It is essential to preserve and protect our natural resources to ensure a sustainable future for the next generation.
