Search for Miss Manila resumes
The Miss Manila pageant has returned after the City of Manila signed a memorandum of agreement with Kreativ Den on March 1st. Manila Mayor Maria Sheilah "Honey" Lacuna-Pangan was present during the signing, accompanied by Department of Tourism, Culture and Arts of Manila OIC Charlie Dun%u0303go, KreativDen Chief Executive Officer Zenaida Katerine Valenzuela, and representative Dorothy Laxamana.
Mayor Lacuna-Pangan described the qualities of a Miss Manila as someone who has a "WOW" factor, or a "woman of worth." She emphasized that a Miss Manila should be true to herself, love herself before others, embody the traits of a true Manilen%u0303a, and be a strong advocate for all rights.
Interested applicants must be single females between 18 to 30 years old, residents of the City of Manila, and of good moral character. They may be students or employed. To apply, they must first submit a TikTok video answering the question "what does it take to be a woman of worth in Manila?" and then visit www.missmanila.ph for the application process.
The Miss Manila pageant aims to showcase the beauty and worth of Manilenas and empower them to become leaders in their own right. With its return, the pageant is expected to boost the tourism industry and promote Manila's cultural heritage to the world.
