Pepsi, Muntinlupa clean up Sto. Niño Creek

Muntinlupa City - In a joint effort with the Lake Management Office (LMO) and the Laguna Lake Development Authority (LLDA), Pepsi Cola Products Phils. Inc. recently conducted a cleanup activity along the stretch of Sto. Niño Creek leading to Bubugan, Brgy. Tunasan. The company also planted Indian Trees as part of their commitment to the Adopt-a-River Project on May 26.

The initiative aimed to rehabilitate a 200-meter section of the Sto. Niño Creek and improve its overall condition. As part of their efforts to maintain the cleanliness and aesthetics of the creek, Pepsi Cola Products Phils. Inc. installed three units of solar-powered lights, fences, and murals.

The collaboration between Pepsi Cola Products Phils. Inc. and the local authorities demonstrates the significance of corporate responsibility in preserving the environment and promoting sustainable practices. By signing the Memorandum of Agreement, the company showcased its dedication to the rehabilitation and preservation of the Sto. Niño Creek.

In addition to the cleanup and tree-planting activity, the company is also inviting individuals to become Eco-Warriors and participate in upcoming volunteer activities. Those interested can register through the provided link and join the following events:

  • Cleanup Drive @ Bayanan Baywalk on June 5, Monday, at 7:00 AM
  • Planting of Trees, Bougainvillea, and Palmera at Bayanan Baywalk & Weidmann, Putatan on June 24, Saturday, at 7:00 AM
  • River Cleanup Drive at Alabang-Cupang River on June 25, Sunday, at 7:00 AM
