Filipino-Chinese charity group donates face masks, sanitizers to Pasay

The Philippine Chinese Charitable Association Inc. (PCCAI) donated to Pasay City face masks and other items in the fight against the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) disease.

The group donated 2,000 bottles of rubbing alcohol, 1,500 face masks, 20 gallons of hand sanitizer and 10 units of infrared thermometers.

The donation was made so that residents will not acquire the infectious COVID-19.

Pasay City Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano thanked PCCAI for the donation.

Dr. James G. Dy, PCCAI president and chief executive officer, said the effort is part of his group’s support for the city’s programs in upholding the welfare of the community.

Pasay netizens suggested the items be used by public school students as they are more vulnerable to diseases.
